Ethylene Dichloride (EDC)

Catalysts for production of EDC from ethylene in a fluid-bed reactor operate with either air - or oxygen-based technology.

Key features of these catalysts include high selectivity to EDC, high activity and stability during operation, meaning no loss of active compounds and no significant variation in surface area.

  • Our OXYMAX® A and OXYMAX® B series are optimized for all standard fluid bed applications.
  • OXYMAX® S and OXYMAX® BS are recommended when high loss of fine particles occurs.
  • Our new generation catalyst, OXYMAX® V, provides maximum performance in fluid bed reactors.
